Cuckoo of Spring

It was a morning of a spring. I went out for a walk. I was walking through a residential area enriched with gardens and was free from noise of vehicles. The gentle winds of the spring touched my body and heart. I became charmed with the pure atmosphere of the environment. A pleasant comfort was dispersing throughout my body and mind. The road-side bungalows with beautiful gardens and chattering of birds created a pleasant environment in our busy city. That's Why I used to walk in the morning in that area.

Cuckoo of Spring
I was looking the natural beauties of that area and walking through. In that charming atmosphere I suddenly heard the melodious voice of cuckoo. I looked to and fro, tried to trace the bird but I didn't find out where from the bird was calling.  Perhaps it was calling from a branch of cousiderable hight behind the leaves. It was resounding repeatedly. Hearing the sound of cuckoo I remembered the arrival of spring. I was walking and looking the natural beauties. I traced the indications of the arrival of the spring. The flowers bloomed in the trees of polash, shimul, gulmohar etc. Many unknown birds're taking pollen-grains from those flowers. Humming sound of bees and gentle winds of the spring was telling silently, "See me, enjoy and realise that the king of the seasons has come.” I returned home after my morning walk. Having breakfast I sat on a sofa. The voice of the cuckoo resounded in my inner ear. A cluster of thinkings gathered in my mind. The cuckoos're found when the spring had come. They play hide and seek. They lay eggs in the nests of crows. The crows don't understand that. Believing own eggs they hatch them. After the departure of spring the cuckoos go to the another places where the spring has come. They have no time to look behind. Thinking all these I realised a human philosophy.

The introduction of male in the life of female is just like the arrival of cuckoos in the spring of the nature. Female is one of the forms of nature. The arrival of youth in the female life is just like the arrival of spring in her life. As the nature is decorated beautifully in the spring the females’re also become glamorous in the youth. They become full blown. In this youth period every female waits for the coming of male partner in her life. The call of male creates sensation in their lives. They become induced by the male calls. As it were it's the arrival of man formed cuckoo in the spring of woman's life. They devote all their beauties to the male partners. The males unite with them and enjoy their beauties. Creation is full filled through their union. In the female life the spring that's her youth doesn't stay forever. Gradually it disappears. In the nature after definite period when the spring disappears in its rotation the spring cuckoo also leaves the place. Similarly in the time of disappearance of female life-spring a fear is developed in the female character that if she losses her male partner that's the man formed spring cuckoo. Thinking all those I composed a song in my mind that was a song of female character regarding her male.
Oh cuckoo of spring,
You've come in time,
In my life spring

Your calls koo, koo,
Change my mind uneasy.
I've become impatient,
As I'm your darling.

In my flowery spring
You take my honey
It's my cordial devotion
As you're my lover being.

After my life-spring
Don't leave me.
How'll I live alone
Without you so loving?

Thinking those words a different feel was created in my mind. My mind said, "There're two characters in the nature, one is male and another is female. These two characters play an amorous game in the nature. The appearance of male in the life of female is the root of all creations. As it were the appearance of male is the appearance of cuckoo in the life-spring of female.”

Full Moon

It was a spring appeared newly in the season-cycle. A gentle wind was blowing in the environment. I was walking in the street. It was near about 10 Pm. A pleasant comfort was felt in my body and mind. I was returning home. When my vision rose up in the sky I saw the full moon. She was dispersing her illuminated smiles. Looking her beauty I stood up on the foot-path. I was looking the moon with my winkless vision. The moon was complete round. How sweet the moonlight was! Silvery moon-beams're dispersing all throughout. It was a heavenly scenery. Before fourteen days she was just like a narrow sickle. Her digit's been developed day by day into full-moon. As it were the growth of a developing baby. Then she became complete full moon. She was on the summit of her development. How bright and charming her appearance was!. For that reason poets and writers cited so many examples with her beauty. She was really un-parallel.

Full Moon
I was on the footpath. Men're going to their jobs or destinations but I was looking the moon. Many thinkings're gathering in my mind. The moon reflects the light of the sun to the earth. She moves round the earth. Lunar calendar is maintained according to her rotation. She takes twenty nine days to complete her single rotation. Within this period she becomes full moon for once. It is her full youth. She converts the intensified sunlight into gentle, plesant and charming silvery beams of light. The earth becomes flooded with her sweet moonlight.

I remembered the tales of  Goutama Buddha. The name given by his parent was Siddhartha. That great-man selected the night of full moon specially for his meditation to conquer the birth, infirmity, disease and death. He became full of love in the night of full moon. He completed his important duties in full moon. He considered the time of full moon as the best time of doing important duties. The important events of his life were executed in the nights of full moon. As for examples- he was born in the full moon of the Bengali month "Baishakh". He acheived his tytle "Buddha'' and attained the complete emancipation of his soul in the full moon of the same month. In the full moon of the month of " Asharh" he   started to preach his new religion "Buddhism" and began religious discussions. In the full moon of the month "magh" he left his thinking regarding the enhancement of his life-period and decleared the date of his depart. All those remarkable days of Goutama Buddha are celebrated by the buddhists as their festivals.

Most of the mahomedan festivals're celebrated according to the lunar calendar. Among those "Shab-e-barat" that's the night for the fixation of human fates is celebrated in the full moon. Moslem devotees used to praise their worship in that holy night. I've heard many mountaineer tribes used to celebrate their religious festivals in full moon. In the night of full moon and in the fragrance of mohua flower they instigated themselves in an induction of love. Thinking those words I realised that the full moon was such a holy moment that the nature used to call us to enlighten ourselves with divine light of the Almighty. As it were the full moon silently tells us, “Be absorbed to the divine love, be fullblown like full moon with heavenly light, be enlightened yourself with divine light of the Almighty”.

Thinking those tales I didn't trace when I was absorbed in my thinking world. In that time my nephew kamal was passing through the footpath. He asked me, "Uncle, what're you doing standing on the footpath? I replied "I'm looking the full moon" He loughed and asked further "Are you looking the moon?" I replied, “Yes, I'm looking the moon. The full moon has induced me completely. I've become charmed looking her beauty. Please look for a while. How beautiful, how fulfilled and how fullblown she is!" He replied "Uncle you're a writer. That's why you're looking so. The night has far advanced. Please go to your home. Otherwise aunt'll think for you." When I returned home the full moon was just above my head.

I was in rest in my house after having my supper. The fullmoon came in the sky of my mind. My mind became flooded by her gentle silvery light beams. I thought that like the full moon if I'd be fulfilled by the divine love then my life'll be successful. Those who've become enlightened by the divine light, they've become fullblown. They enlighten the world. The Almighty eradicates all the evil doings from the world by them. They reflect the divine-light to the mankind for the salvation of their souls. Thinking all those I didn't notice when I fell into sleep. I dreamed-- a full moon was smiling in the blue sky. The entire nature was becoming flooded by her pleasant and pure silvery light beams. I felt that I was bathing in the stream of that light. A mystic sensation of love was dispersing all throughout my body and mind. Suddenly my wife broke my sleep and asked, "Why are you sleeping in the sofa. Night has advanced. Go to your bed." I replied, "Yes, I'm going.” Rubbing my eyes  I went to my bed but still then I was looking the dream-full-moon.

Kite

I had a little family. One son, one daughter and we husband wife. My son Arif read in class five and my daughter Tithi was a student of intermediate level. The memory of a day was remembered in my mind. The season was winter. I was in rest after return from my office. At that time my son pressingly said to me, "Dad, you have to purchase a kite, thread and a reel for me. I'll fly kite." I replied, "Good boys don't fly kite. I'll purchase better things for you." My son was tenacious and urged further. He said, "Many boys in our locality used to fly kite. I'll also fly kite. You have to purchase those positively." My wife interfered and said to me."Yes, when the boy is so pressing, please purchase and give him kite. It's his hobby and we should have to fulfil that” Finding no other way I said,''How many taka’ll be required for that?'' My son replied, "Twenty taka'll be needed to purchase those things." I gave him the money. He purchased kite, thread and a reel and went to the opened roof to fly kite.

After sometime I said to my daughter, "Mom, please go to the roof and see what the boy is doing’’. She went to the roof, saw the boy, returned and said to me, "Dad, he's flying kite." I asked her, "Can he fly the kite?'' She replied, "Yes, he has flown the kite to a long height" I said "Let's go there to see how he has could that." We went to the roof and saw the boy flying the kite to a cousiderable height. I said to him, "Hi, when you learn to fly kite?" He replied, "I used to go to the field with Rafique Bhai. He helped me to learn that" Rafique was our neighbour. He read in class nine. Both of them were students of same school.

We saw many kites in the sky. They're of various colours. My daughter asked me, "Dad, how the kites can fly in the sky?" I answered, "Now it's the time of winter monsoon. The kites can fly depending on the winds of the monsoon." She said further, "Dad, see, how far the kites have arisen up!They’re looked very small.” I said to her, “  Though the kites have arisen at the level of so height yet we should remember that the thread of the kites're fastened in the reels on the ground. If the threads're rolled up the kites'll come down. Do you understand the matter?" She inclined her head but perhaps she didn't understand its depth.

I observed kite-flying for sometime and came down from the roof. I sat on a sofa in my room. Observing the kites in the sky some thinkings were gathered in the kingdom of my thinking-world. Their various coloured decorations're usually cought by our eyes but we used to ignore their connecting threads.

Each and every kite has its own connecting thread which apparently lies out of our sights but every kite is controlled by its connecting thread from reel. Just like kites we're also wandering on the breast of this earth. There're many different identities of us. We're always tring to expose ourselves in various ways and manners. But we used to forget our invisible connecting link with the Almighty like threads of kites. Our invisible connecting links’re within the hand of the Almighty. He controls us. The invisible reels're within his hand. The laws of creation are fixed by him. We're bound to obey these eternal laws. We've no power to go out of the jurisdiction of these laws. Like kites we're also connected with the invisible eternal laws of the Almighty.

Caste

It was a tale of my past when I was in a job of professor in a college. Oneday one of my affectionate students invited me to attend the wedding ceremony of his elder brother. His house was in his native village Subarnapur. To reach there we have to cross the river Atharobaki. He pressed me so strongly that I couldn't refuse him.

I returned from the college and discussed all about the matter with my wife. My wife expressed her desire to visit village. It was the season of winter. The village paths were dry. Wedding ceremony attendance and village visit both would be executed in a single tour. My wife admitted. So we took the decision to attend the wedding ceremony. My wife told me to purchase a presentation. I purchased that in the night.

Next-day was fri-day and a holiday. We became ready early in the morning and started to join there. We hired a rickshaw to reach the river-side. It was then about 9'o clock. We hired a boat. After many days the journey by boat was much charming to us. Our minds became full of joy to see the river-views of our reverine Bangladesh. We crossed the river Vairab and entered into the river Atharobaki. The river Atharobaki was a narrow river. We're looking the sceneries of both sides. Our eyes became refreshed looking the scenes of distantly placed little villages, green vegetations, golden paddy fields, farmer's harvest, village wives with their jars in the hips and the bathing of children in the river. After an hour we entered into a narrow canal from the river. We had to go further to reach the village. We reached the village Subarnapur when it was half past eleven. We left the boat and I saw my student. He was waiting for us. He became very glad to see us. We began to walk in the village paths. Advancing through the serpentine paths of the village we ultimately reached his house. The gate of the house was decorated with red, blue papers. Musical records're playing through mike. Gatherings of the guests were clearly indicating the wedding house. My wife joint the ladies guests and I joint the gents. I exchanged the greetings with all. Everyone became pleased for our participation. The elder brother of my student cordially met with us. We congratulated him and his bride. The bride was beautiful.

After mid-day prayer the dinner was started. Though it was a village wedding ceremony yet the menu was much standared. We took our meals with much satisfaction. After dinner we went for a walk to the rest part of the village. The shades of the trees, chattering of the birds and cool air of the village refreshed our bodies and minds. We went to the paddy field. The farmers're harvesting their crops. The smell of the soil and crops touched our hearts. We used live in the town. Naturally we didn't get the eternal smell of the soil of Bengal. So we tried to enjoy those moments whole heartedly. I took a bunch of ripe golden spikes of paddy. We're absorbed in our walk so deeply that we didn't trace the time. Meanwhile the day advanced enough and the sun was about to set. Our minds inclined us to return home. The village was looked beautiful in the day-light but not so when evening dark overwhelmed the locality. We live in the illuminate town by electric light but dark night in the village makes us timid. I told to my student to arrange our return journey. He could hire a boat when the sun was setting. The west-sky became coloured with the rosy dusk. Evening would be overcasted soon. Our minds became some how melancholy.

With permission of all when we started our return journey the dark was dispersed every where. My wife said to me, "You're too late to return." I replied, " I was too absorbed to enjoy the natural beauties of the village that I couldn't trace the time." Our boat was advancing through the narrow canal. Dark was every where. Only the light of the lamps from the cottages're coming to our eyes now and then. The crickets started to sound. There're two boat men in our boat. One of them was old and was keeping the steering and the young was rowing the boat with oar. We’re advancing rapidly but we didn't reach the river Atharobaki still then. Loneliness and silence made us benumbed. My wife sat on the boat very close to me. Our minds became effusive with many thinkings. Meanwhile the fullmoon  appeared through a rupture of a cloud in the east-sky. I said to my wife, “See, how beautiful the moon is’’ My wife replied, " Really." The moon exposed herself heavenly. We looked the moon through the branches of trees of the canal sides. We saw a pair of bird sat face to face on a hanging branch touching their beaks. My wife said, "look that pair of bird on the branch. How beautiful they're!" Silvery pleasing moon and the two birds on the branch created a heavenly scenery, as it were an unparallel painting of a Great Artist. It's the creation of  Almighty. The Almighty is above all artists. He has created this beautiful Earth in a spotless manner.

A deep thinking was created in my mind looking those birds in the moonlight. It was seemed to me that both of those birds're presenting  their loves to each other. I felt that those birds're the symbols of two eaternal races of the nature those’re the male and female. One of them is positive (+) and another is negative (-) in nature. An attraction always exists between them what is called love. These two existences're the initial existences of the creation. These two initial existences're the roots of all creations. That's why it was expressed in the holy religious book that the Almighty has created the universe with love. So my mind said that these two opposite, initial and eaternal existences're the real castes of the nature which are exhibited in the male and female forms. Male and female are the real castes of the nature. We have divided the mankind into different races and tribes but these're man-made and not natural.

I became so absorded in those thinking that I couldn't trace when our boat crossed the river Atharobaki, Vairab and reached the ferry. My wife indulged herself into sleep with her inchined head on my shoulder. I called her, "Hi, are you sleeping? We have reached the ferry." She got back her consciousness and said, "How strange! I didn't trace when I fell into sleep." I paid the boat-fare and started walking in the road. We're advancing to our house. We didn't feel to hire a rickshaw. We felt only that we the male and femal're walking togather. We're the representiteves of the two eternal and initial existences of the creation. We're the real castes of the nature.
