Medium

It was the month of December. The annual examinations of my children had been ended. They pressed me to go for a tour. I didn't refuse them. One day we started to go to the country-side. After crossing the Rupsa Bridge we got in a bus. We reached Fakirhat within an hour. We had to go three miles inteior to reach our native village Hejalpur. We hired a van and started to go there.

Our minds became full of joys to see the sceneries of the country-side after a long piriod. It was the time of harvest. The peasants're harvesting their annual crops the golden paddy. They're carrying it in cart. Their hearts're becoming full of hopes. Smelling the odour of the soil and crops I remembered the memories of my boy-hood. I've been living in town for ten years since I've been appointed in my job but originally I was a boy of this village. I'm a man of this soil. The smell of this soil is mixed with my body and mind. Once I was brought up in this soil. My body has been built up by taking foods from this soil. The substance of this soil is streaming in my veins and arteries.

Our van was runing through the path. There're extended paddy fields in both sides. Ripe paddy spikes're glittering in sun-light. Distantly located Hijalpur village came into my vision. I said to my children and wife, "Look at our native village" They looked curiously. Gradually the village became visible conspicuously. The old banian tree of the village with its hanging roots, the lines of memorable trees like silk-cotton, polash, hijol etc came into our visions. Our minds reached the village early than us.

We reached very near to the village. One of my cousins named Mizanur was working in the field. He saw and came to us. He asked, “Brother, how are you?” I replied, “I'm fine by the grace of Almighty." I asked him, “How are you?" He replied, “I'm also fine. Go to our village. I'll come soon.” My wife requested me to take a bunch of paddy spikes. I expressed the matter to my cousin. He gave us a bunch of ripe paddy spikes.

We entered into the village. It was that very Hijalpur village which was shaded by the trees and resounded by chattering of the birds. Advancing through the serpentine paths of the village we reached our paternal house. My father and mother died long before. My younger brother lives here. I used to come here occasionally. Seeing our arrival my younger brother's family and nighbour rushed to us. Hearty congratulations're exchanged. I felt a cordial love in my heart. I was pointing out everything of the surroundings to my children. Men're threshing corns in the premises with bulls. Cocks and hens're wandering with cackle. Growing gourd plant was in the thatch. The memories of my father, mother and boyhood came into my memory. My eyes became full of tears.

I washed my hands and mouth and took a seat in the porch. The wife of my younger brother entertained us with cake and porridge. I took those with my maximum satisfaction. I was seated in the porch. I saw an old hen was wandering in the premises with its chickens. The chickens're also wandering but when the hen cackled loudly all the chickens rushed under the wings of the hen. The hen was saving its chickens from the attack of kite and falcon. The hen was much alert about its duty to save its chickens. Seeing the scene a different thinking entered into my mind. I thought that like kite and falcon passions're always flying in the sky of our minds. If they get any opportunity they'll swoop to us and lead astray. If we want to save us from the attack of passions we have to submit ourselves under the guidance of spiritual preceptor. Who can save us under his invisible wings. He can guide us in the right path. Those who have not got spiritual preceptor they're ill-fated. They're lucky who have got spiritual father. They have been saved from the swoop of passion.

After having the lunch we took rest and we went out for a walk in the afternoon. We walked through the serpentine paths of the village. Many village people congratulated us. I saw some women're crashing pulses in the millstones. I remembered a wellknown verse of the great saint Kabir Das. He expressed in his verse all pulse-grains're becoming deformed by the crashing of the millstones but those pulse grains which're remained attached with the peg of the stone only exempted from crashing. In this verse he wanted to express the importance of spiritual father. He indicated sky and land by the two millstones and by the peg of the stone he indicated the spiritual father. He wanted to express most of the men within sky and land would  be derailed by the attack of the passion but a few men'ld be exempted who'll connect themselves with the spiritual father.

Advancing through the narrow paths of the village when we reached the paddy field it was dusk. I became absorbed in the induction of the dusk. I felt that I found out a universal truth seeing a hidden scene of the nature. I fixed my vision on the setting sun. The sun sat gradually. Dark began to overwhelme. Peasants returned to their huts. Lamps’re lighted hut to hut. The village became resounded with new-grain festival. We returned home. The night gradually became late through our conversation and supper. We went to our beds.

In the next day we got up early in the morning. A peasant brought date-palm juice. We took that with fried rice in our breakfast. It was very tasteful. My younger brother caught a big fish from the pond by net. We took our lunch with fried fish and chicken. Then the time came for our departure from the village. We started our return-journey for town with teared eyes. We reached the Khulna city before evening. Our as usual urban-lives're restarted.

In the next-day I was seated in my room listlessly. My wife placed the paddy spikes in my room decorously which she brought from the village. I saw again the golden paddy spikes with deep intimacy. I smelled the spikes. I got the odour which was the known fragrance of my native village. I again remembered the memories of my passed village life. I felt that very moment when I realised the necessary of spiritual father in our lives.

Bridge

A guest came to my house from Dhaka. He was a retired engineer. Both of we were diabetic patients. Morning walk was essential for us. I thought that if we could turn our morning walk into a special visit, it would be an extra enjoyable matter for us. Concealing the idea I went with him early in the morning.

There were very few spots of recreation in Khulna. Maximum of them were not enough to give much satisfaction specially for the man of Dhaka because Dhaka was full of such corners. So I decided to visit newly constructed "Rupsa Bridge" thinking that it would be able to give an impression to the mind of my guest. Not disclosing the matter to him I started walking. We walked for some time. Our bodies became sweated which was beneficial for our health. I hired a rickshaw. He asked me, "Where will you go?" I replied, ‘‘It may be anywhere. Don't be afraid. I’ll not take you to any bad place.’’ Approaching near he could understand that we were going to visit the Rupsa Bridge. He told, “Well, today’s morning walk will be memorable.”

We climbed up the bridge by staircase. We became charmed to see the beauty of surrounding green plants. We had no idea about the beauty of green vegetation from above. We enjoyed the beauty for a considerable time. I thought that how nicely the Almighty has created this beautiful earth! He is the greatest artist beyond all artists. My head became inclined to offer praise to him. None could complete to render praise to the Almighty in his life period. If the total water of the earth becomes ink and the total plants become pens yet mankind can't complete to render the legitimate praise to the Almighty.

We started walking to cross the bridge. The little villages, cottages, paddy fields, green vegetations of the other side of the river were looked like pictures. Morning induction was still then comfortable. Touch of cold wind was giving a sound comfort to our bodies and minds. We reached the middle of the bridge. Looking down my head moved round. I understood that it was normal feel when a man climbed up a long height. I felt my body less weighted. My engineer companion enlightened me the modern technology of the bridge.

We were standing on the bridge. Looking the beautiful scenery of the other side of the river I didn't notice when I was adsorbed in an induction. As it were I was looking in my inner eyes that a peasant wife was making ready her husband to send to the field. I felt an eternal love between them. Actually expansion of love is felt world wide. Love peeps behind the big palaces, simple cottages, tents of deserts and sheds of beggars. Everywhere there is love but its expression is different. Love comes to our lives as the beauty of spring. As the spring rotates in season cycle the love also comes to and goes from our lives. Unknowingly Love comes to our lives and disappears likely. If it is once lost it is very tough to restore. When I was completely absorbed in those thinkings suddenly my companion asked me "What are you thinking?" I answered, “What? Nothing"

We were standing on the bridge. The sun rose up. The two terminals of the bridge cought my vision. I saw the bridge which connected the both banks of the river and was connected with the link roads. A deep feel was created in the kingdom of my mind. I thought that like the bridge everyman was a living bridge. Our existence has come from an unknown world and one day we must have to go to an another unknown world after our deaths. We are the connecting bridges of those two unknown mysterious worlds.

I started walking with a thinking mind. We reached the other terminal of the bridge. I felt that like the bridge our lives were also living bridges which connected a prolonged, unknown and mysterious paths what we had crossed and another what we have to cross. As it were our lives are infinite adventures. We are the adventurers of these endless paths. We are always creating the living connecting bridges within these infinite eternal paths.

Existence

After having the supper I stood on the balcony. I had a habit for a long time to walk a little before my sleep. Walking in the balcony my vision was fixed in the sky. The sky was full of stars. It was seemed to be that the cloudless sky was full of Arabian Jasmines. My mind flew to that sky as a bridle less winged horse of a legend.

I fixed my eyes in the sky with a winkless sight. I was observing the fair of stars. The stars were looked like non-mobile but they were not so. Though their movements apparently could not be guessed but after some times they were seen advanced ahead deceiving our eyes like dial hands of clock. Suddenly my vision was fixed to a particular star. It was approaching from the east towards the west twinkly. It was easily detected from other stars. I understood that it wasn't a star but a satellite. Any developed country has thrown up this satellite. The satellite was moving round the earth. It was an amazing invention of seiecnce. Satellite has made easy the distant news casting and weather forecast. Some satellites are used as space-crafts. These are may be man-bearer or not. I rememberd the first space-man Uri Gagarin. I rememberd also the epoch-making adventure of Applo-11. In that adventure N. Armstrong, E.Aldrin and Michael Caulince ensured the victory of moon. Really it was amazing. The space-craft Discovery discovered how many unknown mysteries! When I was absorbed in those thinkings the satellite disappeared gradually in the west sky. I didn't return back my mind from the sky. My mind started an infinite journey following the satellite.

Just like a prince of a legend, who used to start journey to discover the mysteries of unknown countries with his winged horse my mind also started a space-journey to find out the mysteries of the universe. So far my mind proceeded I flew up my winged horse of my thinking world. My mind crossed the boundary of Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Valcan and others. After then my mind crossed many unknown Galaxies. But after then? My winged horse couldn't advance. Alas here man is undone! The space is infinite but a man has a confined consciousness. So man can't feel the infinite space. Infinite space is beyond the human knowledge. So much knowledge already has been gathered by the total mankind, is very little still now. So the mystery of infinite spac is always reserved by the Almighty and what is beyond the human feelings. None’ll find the boundary of infinite space. So the winged horse of my world of thinking failed to procced and returned back ultimately. I felt a headache. My wife came and asked, "What're you thinking looking at the sky? Is it a new plot of your writings? Writers're always those sorts of men who usually forget the time of their food and rest. The night has advanced. Let's go to sleep.”

My world of thinking has been interrupted. I sat on the sofa. The clock rang twelve. The sound resounded in my head. Being failed in finding the boundary of infinite space my mind embracd the time. A question came to my mind- when the time had been started from? If it's been started from a particular moment then there must be time before that. The events what were happend in the past started to be visualized in the screen of my mind like a TV screen. I took my mind in the past gradually. The pictures of many historical events, many empires of heroic castes of the world started to come in the screen of my mind. My mind proceeded further to the pre-historic eras. I remembered the aneient men. I took my mind back further more. The pictures of giant dinosaurs came to my mind. I thought about the creation of earth. The earth came into existence from the sun. The sun was created before the earth. What was created before that? I couldn't take my mind back further more. None'll find the beginning and the end of eternity. Eternity and infinite space are remained toghter forever. They’ve no beginning and end. Winged horse of my world of thinking became failure and returned back.

A question was arisen in my mind- is there any time and space actually? My mind replied, “Actually there is no time and space. Time and space are completely relative matters. There is only one thing that's the infinite, eternal and ever conscious existence of the Almighty every where''.

Replica

The calling bell rang just I had sat on the sofa with newspaper after my breakfast. I felt annoyed somehow. Who have come early in the morning? Would it be any bad news?

I anxiously opened the door. I saw my brother-in-law standing with a packet of sweets. Hot good wishes were exchanged. I asked him, "What's the news?" He replied with a loud laugh "Twin babies have born" I said "Congratulations. It is very tough to bring forth a single child, where you have become the father of twin babies. You are really a very lucky person. Yes, are they male or female?" He answered, "One male and one female." I said, "If they are in same sex it would be more funny. They would be identical twins and then it would be very much difficult to differentiate them.'' An enjoyable atmosphere blew over our house and all of we took sweets.

After the departure of my brother-in-law my wife said, "We have to go to the clinic to see the babies.” I said "When will you go?" She replied, "We'll go at 4 o'clock after my house hold works. Perhaps now the babies and their mother are in rest. You’ll come back from your office early and you should've to buy some dresses for the babies. We won't go with empty hands." I said, "Yes, ok. Madam.”

My wife became late. It was a common picture of Bangladesh. We reached the clinic at 5 o'clock. The clinic was crowded over by the visitors of the twin babies. We met the babies and their mother and offered our greetings. My wife engazed herself talking. Generally ladies are more talkative. I said to her, “I'm waiting in the corridor. You'll come after your talk.” Ladies talk usually can't be ended easily. Well, I got a chance to look the surrounding sceneries and to think deeply.

The pictures of identical twins of Genetics began to float in the screen of my mind. It is very difficult for an unknown person to differentiate the identical twins. Though the identical twins are almost identical yet there must be some differences. I remembered the destruction of twin towers of America. There were two identical sky-scraper buildings in the city of Newyork in America. They were called Twin Towers. They were destroyed by the terrorists. How painful it was! My wife came and said, "Let's go to home" My thinkings were interrupted, we returned home.

I couldn't erase those thinkings from my mind even after coming back to home. I thought that how many twin babies ever born in the world, there must be some differences betwen them. There was no person born in the world who was fully identical with another. It is an amazing and eternal law of nature.

I remembered the epoch-making invention of cloning. Many of us have no idea about cloning. To know the fact of cloning we have to know the basic findings of Cytology and Embryology. It's the common law of nature that the fertilization of ovum with sperm is essential to bring forth a child. It is called sexual reproduction. But there's an exceptional system in the nature that reproduction can be exicuted without fertilization. In the subject of Botany it is termed as vegetative reproduction. Here a diploid body cell of a mother plant can be developed into offspring without fertilization. But in animal kingdom it's not happened naturally. The phenomenon has been made successful by the scientists artificially. Here a diploid body cell of either male or female parent can be embryologically developed in the uterous of the mother. There is no need of sexual union that's the fertilization. This artificial system is termed as cloning. The most important matter in this context is the offspring which is brougt forth is always an identical replica of the mother parent from whom the initial diploid cell has been taken. I remembered the name of "Dolly" a lamb who was the first offspring of cloning. It was a replica of its mother sheep. The offsprings of sexual reproduction show variety of characters in comparison with their parents but a clone baby will be always a replica of its mother who donates the initial body cell for cloning.

The scientists are much interested to materialize cloning in human race. Still now it hasn't been succeded. Many people are giving inspirations to the scientists in this regard but the opposition against cloning is also running with a remarkable vociferation. If cloning becomes successful in human race more than one person of identical appearances would be bring forth. If so, then what'll be the reaction between the identical offsprings? If more than one Imran Khan or Maradona are brought forth then what would be the situation? Recently thinkings regarding cloning are gathering in the mind of consious people. But the question is that, will this situation at all come?

I made loose the bridle of my flying horse in the sky of my kingdom of thinking. I thought deeply. I got a solution. Our creator is one and unparallel. The great evedence of that everyman is different from each other. That's everyman is one and unparallel like his creator. As the existence of a man has come from the existence of his creator, this character has also come from him. Man is the representative of his creator. If the days come when cloning is within the grip of scientist, that's men of same physical appearances are found, still then these men'll must be different from each other respective of their souls. None'll see a man who is completely identical with other.

Spectrum

The sky of early autumn suddenly becomes clouded and it rains. After some times the sky becomes clear and the golden sun-rays begin to disperse. As it were a game of hide and seek. The children used to sing the popular song "It is raining, it is shining. The fox's wedding.’’ Some times there's a thin layer of cloud in the sky. When sun-rays pass through this cloud they become defracted into seven colours and create rainbow. It's the spectrum of light.

Once I was reading a magazine at afternoon in such an early autumn. Suddenly it was raining a shower. My daughter of ten years was playing in the corridor. She came fast and said to me, "Dad, come soon and see how beautiful rainbow has been formed!" I respond her leaving the magazine. Really a beautiful rainbow had been formed. My daughter said to me "Dad, Why the man used to term the rainbow as Rambow" I repleid "Sri Ram Chandra had a big bow. Rainbow looks like a bow. For this reason it is termed so." My daughter pressed to me and asked, "Dad, please tell me the cause of rainbow formation" I said to her, "The sun-ray looks white and propagates always in a strait path. Though it looks white yet there are seven hidden colors in it. The colors are violet, blue, indigo, green, yellow, orange and red. The abbreviation of these colours is VIBGYOR. After a rain sometimes there's a thin layer of cloud in the sky. In fact the cloud is the accumulation of water particles. This thin layer of cloud acts as a medium. When sun-rays pass through this medium those hidden seven colors come out and form rainbow. This is why rainbow looks so beautiful. Do you understand? You'll be able to gather more knowledge regarding this when you'll be aged" My daughter agreed with me and engazed herself in playing but I engazed myself in  deep thinkings.

I came back to my room and sat on a sofa. I thought that the sun light looked white nevertheless it had seven hidden colours in it . The matter made me thoughtfull and solicitous. I thought there’re some men in the world who are very simple and lead their lives in strait path like sun light. There're many qualities remain in them in hide like sun light. As the sun light shows seven colours when it passes through appropriate medium these men also show their good qualities in appropriate moments. The society becomes benefited by these men and comes to know their hidden qualities.

I remembered the subject of Physics. The students of Physics use tri-angular transparent medium called prism. They can defract sun light into seven hidden colours by it. My mind said that like prisms there're also men who're three eyed. They act as prism media. The hidden qualities of a common man begin to disperse by the touches of those man-media. The Almighty is full of qualities. We are advised to colour ourselves with the qualities of the Almighty. We have to submit ourselves to the man-media for the purpose. These man-media are the spiritual guides. So if we bloom our qualities through the proper guidence of the spiritual guides we'll become the real spectrum of eternal qualities of the Almighty.

Ivory

I was reading a newspaper after having my breakfast. I heard a sound toon toon.... It was seemed to be the sound of the bell which is generally fastened in the neck of an elephant. My daughter was playing in the corridor. She ran to me and said, "Dad, let's see what a giant elephant's going?" I respond her call. I saw a big elephant was going. A bell was fastened in its neck which was emitting that sound. The elephant keeper was seated on its neck. A group of boys crowded behind the elephant and were making uproar. The elephant keeper was taking money by showing his elephant. The elephant was taking money by its trunk and offering salutation to the donors. Somebody was giving rice, banana, etc to the elephant. My daughter said to me, “Dad, give me a coin of one taka. I'll give it to the elephant." I gave her a coin of one taka. The elephant safely took the coin from the hand of my daughter and gave it to its keeper. I became astonished to see the technique by which man could control the wild beast. The elephant offered a salutation to us by raising its trunk. My daughter said to me, “Dad, see how big the tusks're!". I replied, “The elephant doesn't use these tusks for chewing but there're inner ones for the purpose." I was seated in the room. The Scene of those tusks of the elephant came into my inner eyes. I remembered many tales. The white tusks of elephant are called ivory. These are very valuable. Valuable sculptures and ornaments're made of ivory. These're appreciated from the ancient time. I remembered the old Arabian merchants. They made voyages with their big sailing boats. They discovered a sea-route. They used to start their voyages from Persian Bay and proceeded along coastal belt. They ultimately reached the Lanka Island. At present that island is named as Srilanka. Ivory was found in the hills of that island. They used to collect ivory from their. Then they further advanced to reach the golden islands. Java, Sumatra, Borneo etc. islands're previously called as golden islands. These islands're now within the territory of Indonesia. Ivory's found in plunty in these islands. They used to collect ivory from there and then they started their return voyage. Their voyages're full of danger. The tales of Sindbad came to my memory. A tale of ivory collection was written in the eighth voyage of Sindbad.
Thinking these tales I remembered a quotation of my master "Elephant’s inner teeth're for chewing but outer tusks're showy.” There're some people in our society who've two appearenes. In broad day-light they maintain a decorum to show the social work but in the dark night they do all sorts of illegal works behind the vision of common people. Just like elephant they've inner teeth for eating and the outer tusks to mask their real behaviours. Let’s consider the matter of politicion of our country. Most of them use sweet words in their lectures but they don't do what they say. Their sweet words're just like the white showy tusks of elephant. Most of them're liar and deceive the people. These types of thinkings're evolving in my mind just like bubbles and were gradually dissolving.

In the afternoon when I was making myself ready to go to the library my daughter came to me and said, "Dad, let's go to the circus." I replied, “What circus?" She replied, “The elephant that you've seen in the morning is the elephant of the circus. I've heard a circus was started in our locality. My girl friends'll go there. You’ve to take me there also.” I couldn't refuse her. I couldn't go to the library in that day. I ought to take my daughter there. I purchased two tickets and we intered into the circus pandle. We're enjoying the circus. There're many kinds of events, rope-walk, swinging, gymnastics, etc. The events of beast're started later. I saw the events of tiger, lion and horse. At last that very elephant came to show circus. It stood on a small ball and raised its trunk for the salutation to the visitors. I saw  its black  broad abdomen and two exposed white tusks. It was seemed to be a real symbol of a cheat politician. Exploiting the people's wealth it has made a big black abdomen and also a large black body by exploiting black money. Nevertheless it was showing its two white tusks. It's its temptation. I felt a botheration and got out from the circus pavilion with my daughter. I tried to erase the scene of that elephant but failed. I felt that as it were the two white ivory tusks of that elephant were coming to exploit me.

Result

It was a winter morning. I went out for a walk. The sky was cloudy to some extent. So the sun wasn’t visible in time. At last the sun peeped through the gap of the cloud. A bunch of sweet sun-light touched my body. As it were an addition of sauce in the meal. Trespasser cold of my body ultimately exempted me. I began to walk with a comfortable feel of sweet sun. Snddenly my vision was caught by a beggar woman. She was very poorly dressed. She was bearing a disabled child in her waist. Saliva was dropping from the mouth of that child. Its hands and legs were hanging. The pupils of the eyes were deviated. Limb-joints were swallen. It was easy to recognize for all that the child was a disabled. The illfated woman was walking with her child along with the passerby. Looking the scene my mind became full of sorrow. The comfort of sweet sun became faded. Again the sun became masked with cloud. I returned home with a melancholy mood.
Return to home I saw my wife was waiting for me. I took my breskast unmindfully. That was noticed by my wife. She said to me “Why’re you looking so thoughtful? What’s happened? Any bad incident?” I replied, “No, nothing.” My wife engazed herself in her house hold works but I engazed myself in deep thinkings. A cluster of questions were gathered in my mind. Why a man’s to face a painful death? Why a child suffers punishment from its birlh?

I remembered the words of Gautama Buddha. His heart cried for sorrow, infirmity, disease and death. To search peace he left his crown, wife and son. He went to forest and mountain for meditation. He gained knowledge and commandments-- cult of non-violence is the real religion and killing of creature is a great sin. Jesus Christ was missing from the age of fourteen to twentyeight. In that period through proper worship and meditation he gained spiritual power and messages of God the holy Bible. Our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (s) dedicated his worship and meditation in the dark cave of the mountain Hera and received the holy messages from Allah the holy Quran. The substantial parts of all religions are same. To establish worship to the Almighty and to direct ownself in the way of human peace and welfare in our lives is the main doctrine of all religion. Sin is the cause of all unhappiness and virtuous deeds are esssential to establish eternal peace and happiness.

Generally common people can’t find out the trulh and mystery of creation through proper worship and meditation. But the great men’ve done that. So we the common people’ve to depend on the sacred books. All of we’ve the freedom of thinking. So I entered into the kingdom of my thinking world. Many quotations were coming into my mind. The Almighty is impartial and merciful according to the all sacred books. He doesn’t give punishment to anybody without definte cause. We enjoy that what is the result of our own deeds. Sin doesn’t exempt anybody. The organs which we use to do the evil works give evidences of those deeds. None suffers for the sin of others.
A question was arisen in my mind that the disabled child didn’t do any sin but why it’s been suffering from such a punishment from its birth. The Almighty doesn’t convict anybody without definite cause. I calculated the matter in my mind. A result repeatedly came to my mind that everyone has previous, present and coming lives. We’ve to suffer some punishments which were the result of the deeds of our previous lives. Exactly the disabled child was also suffering from such punishments which were the results of deeds of its previous life. Its disordered organs’re showing the evidence of the sin of its previous life. I didn’t find any other explanation except that.

When I was wandering in the sky of unlimited world of thinking my wife came and said to me. “Hi, will you not go to your office?” My thinkings’re interrupted and I became ready to go to my office. I opened the door and saw that very beggar woman standing on the gate bearing her disabled child in her waist. I became surprised. My wife bothered for that and said to the beggar woman, “What a botherartion! Would you not get another time to come?” I said to my wife, “Don’t asked her so.” I gave a ten taka note to the beggar woman. She looked me for a while with her pathetic eyes and went away with her child. I saw the silent departure of the beggar woman and the dreadful result of the disabled child.

Mother

It was the month of May 1973. I was a student of M.Sc. Final year in Rajshahi University. It was summer. There was tremendous heat in Rajshahi. The summer vacation was noticed. I decided to return home. In a selected day I was coming back with some of my friends by train. I didn't inform my parents and wished to give them surprise.

To come Khulna from Rajshahi we'd have to change train at Abdulpur. All of my friends're gossiping. I was watching surrounding sceneries. I was looking villages passing by one after another. Verdant plains, extended paddy fields and the green vegetations of Bangladesh were catching my vision. I was looking out side winklessly. Sky touched the horizon. Peasants're working in the field. Village wives're taking water with Jars in their waists. They’re looking with startled eyes. What an illusive attraction touched my heart! I felt that the love of heart was so extended that it couldn't be fastened with border. Our heart was always eager to give and take love. I was losing myself in those thinkings frequently in the gaps of our gossipings. Suddenly the train whistled. We reached Abdulpur. We left the train. We'd have to change the train. Abdulpur was a junction of Rajshahi and Rongpur going trains. The Khulna going train which'd come from Parbotipur of Rangpur. We'd have to get in that train. We’re waiting for the train. We got a news that there're some disturbences in the train line. So the train'd be late. There was no alternative without waiting. It was the common picture of Bangladesh Railway. We spent the time through reading newspaper, magazines and gossiping with friends. Evening came at the end of the day but the train didn't come. Just after eight hours of late the train reached the station ultimately. When we got in the train the dark overwhelmed the outsides. We could see only the twinkles of fire-flies. At last drowsiness came to my eyes. I saw in drowsiness that I reached my home. My mother was waiting for me at the gate. The drowsiness was interrupted repeatedly by the whistles of the train. With hide and seek game of drowsiness and consciousness I reached at last at Khulna station at 1 am. It was much difficult to manage rickshaw in that time. When I reached my home it was 1.45 am. My mother was standing at the open door. I entered into the room and asked her, “Mom, why have you been standing at the door?” She replied, "Only for your arrival." I said to her, “I didn't send any message" She replied, “I had no sleep in my eyes. Suddenly I heared the whistle of the train. My mind said that you'd come" I became astonished. I changed my dress and made myself fresh and was seated for supper. My mother took much care of me. I remembered my past. I'd not be satisfied at any meal without my mother’s presence. But now I have to take my meal otherwise in any where. My mother said to me "It's now late night. Go to your bed. I'll talk with you later."

I went to my room. Many thinkings fastened my mind. A question was arisen in my mind that how my mother became sure about my arrival hearing the whistle of the train. My conscience replied, “An offspring is the umbilical asset of its mother. She bears it for ten months in her womb. Then she brings forth her baby with endurance of an unbearable pain. Offspring is a part of her body. For that reason there's an invisible communication between mother and her child. If the offspring lives distantly still then its mother receives impulse of her child. There always lies an invisible connection between a mother and her child. It an unknown telepathy.”

A mother brings up her child after its birth. She feeds her breasts to her child and looks after. She gives her child primary education. Is there anybody like mother? There is no love parallel to the love of a mother. Almost all over the word mother is called by symetrical phonetic sounds “m,’’ those’re mother, mom, ma etc. It is an astonishing similarity. It is an evedence of the solidarity of mankind. All of we have come from mother’s womb. None can repay the restitution of his mother. None can express completely the adoration of his mother. When I was thinking all these I didn't know when I had fallen into sleep. I saw my mother in dream. She was calling me and telling "Who're they? Why they've come to take me? Tell them to go out” I replied, "Where? I don't see anybody." Suddenly my sleep became spoiled. I felt rapid heart beat for a considerable time. I felt an unexpressed pain. I didn't disclose the matter to anybody.

After many days later really I lost my mother. She died. It'd be the cruel fact for all. Nevertheless I couldn't get consolation. My inconsolable mind repeatedly used to cry with an inarticulate sound.

World

World
There was a village named Subarnapur situated at a distance of twelve miles from the town Narail in spiritual world. It was a beautiful and quiet village with tree shades and bird's chattering. There was a big lake in the village called Rani Dighi The land lord of Narail dug that lake. The name of the lake was fixed in the name of queen mother Rani Rajlaksmi. The lake was very deep. The water of the lake was blackish and clear. There were many fishes in the lake.

Mr. Jagat lived in that village. He was the headmaster of primary school of that village. He was fond of angling. He used to take all opportunities in that regard. In one holyday he took a seat to catch fish by hook from that lake with the permission of village chairman. There was a fig-tree on the bank of the lake. Mr. Jagat stretched a mat on the base of the fig-tree. He sat on the mat inclining his body to the fig-tree. He fixed the hook with a stick on the edge of the lake. A gentle wind was blowing. He felt much comfort. Ripe figs were droping from the tree to the lake-water and making sweet musical sounds. In that comfortable environment he easily fell into a deep sleep.
Mr. Jagat was dreaming. He saw in his dream various kinds of fishes were wandering in the lake. There was a big sheat-fish who was leader of all fishes in the lake. The rest fishes used to obey its leadership and inform all prolems and news of the lake to it. The leader fish used to play the role of an arbitrator. One day a small fish named puti asked the leader fish, "Leader, I've a friend who've told me that we live in water. Is it correct?"

Leader-fish: I've also heard the matter.
Puti-fish: If we live in water then what is and where is that water?
Leader-fish: I can't say anything.
In the meantime another small puti-fish came and said, " All of you can't feel what the water is because we used to live in water from our birth. We don't know the difference between water and other things. For that reason we've no feel of water. But incidentally I got the opportunity to feel the water. Everyone resounded coincidentally "How did you feel  the water?"

Puti-fish: One day I commited a mistake to take food from a hook and I was caught. The angler rised me from the water and put me into his pot but I jumped and I could back to the water. He couldn't catch me again. So long I remained over water I could feel the difference between water and land. Anyone of you didn't go out of water. So you've no feel regarding the difference between water and land. None can feel water remaining inside it. To feel water we've to go out of it.

World
When Mr. Jagat was sleeping with snore and wandering in the dreamland his son Sajal came and guessed that a fish had been caught in the hook. As the angle was fastened with a stick the fish couldn't escape. Sajal said to his father, "Dad, are you sleeping? A fish has been caught." With the call of the son Mr. Jagat suddenly awoke. He asked, "What, has a fish been caught?" Mr. Jagat began to role up the the thread of the angle. He guessed that the fish would be a big one. He suddenly pulled the angle. A big fish was thrown to the edge of the lake. As soon as Mr. Jagat tried to catch the fish by hand the fish jumped back to the lake-water tearing the thread. Mr. Jagat became hopeless. He stoped angling in that day.

Mr. Jagat was thinking lonely in his house. The scenes of the dream what he saw at the time of angling were coming one after another in the screen of his mind. An invisible one told him silently, "Though fishes live in water yet they can't feel water. The difference between water and land is not clear to them. Similarly everyman has two worlds. One is material and other is spiritual. Before death we live in earthly lives and after death our souls live in spiritual world. Those we're in earthly lives we can't feel the spiritual world. On the other hand after our death not all the souls can feel the difference between the two BEHIND YOUR VISION worlds. In the case of ill developed souls they can't feel the difference between two worlds even after death. Only spiritually developed soul can feel the difference between the two worlds correctly. So usually it remains mysterous for one to feel the world in what he doesn't live.

Lighted man

I had a friend named Anowar. He was slightly elder than me. For that reason I used to submit due respect to him. Though I was younger than he yet he also expressed due respect to me in return. Still existing age difference there was a cordial friendship between us. Both of we used to tell our life-secrets to one another. So a real friendly relationship was developed between us, day by day.

Lighted man

One day when I was seated in my optical shop suddenly I remembered Mr. Anowar. Near about a month was passed I had no meet with him. He went for a tour to his homeland West-Begal. Of course he informaed me before his tour. There is a saying - "out of sight out of mind" & "BEHIND YOUR VISION"That was reflected on me. I thought that- he had gone to his homeland after a consi derable period so he had no feel to return early. But why in that time I rembered him suddenly after a month? Thinking so when I threw my vision infront of my shop I saw Mr. Anowar was standing. I became astonished and said to him, "I'm remembering you just now and you've really come in the meantime. It's very intersting’’ He replied, "I'm coming today to your shop, this information has been received in your heart by an unknown spiritual telepathy and that's why you're remembering so" I replied "Exactly so. Really there is a spiritual net work and response between our hearts and by that response we can receive the information of any incident which is going to be materialized in future. Of course if heart is not much transparent then the spiritual impulse can't be received."
I made un arrangement of tea-refreshment on the arrival of Mr. Anowar. I asked him, "How did you spend the time so long?" He replied, "Iwas very fine by the grace of the Almighty. The cause of my late was- I had an extra tour programme to visit the "Ajmir shareef" the holy shrine of the great saint HazratKhowaja Moinuddin Chisty (Rh)’’. I further asked him. "Why did you decide to visit to 'Ajmir Sharif' so suddenly?" He replied "I've two daughters but no son. To get a son I went there and submitted my prayer. I hope that by the advocay of that great saint the Almighty'll give me a son" I said to him, "You've done a very good deed. I also hope that you'll get a son offspring.”

Lighted man

A young Lighted man was seated in the shop. His appearance was expressing that he was a gentle and educated Lighted man. He came to purchase a pair of spectaeles. He was listening our conversations silently. He ultimately asked me, "Uncle, may I ask a question to you?” “I replied” Yes, why not, if necessary you may ask several questions.” He said, "The Almighty is our creator. He reserves all powers. Nothing can be occured without his wish. He gives us every thing. So we should have to submit our prayers only to him. He can grant our prayers. But why we go to the graves of deceased persons to submit our prayers. Is there any significance to do that?" I replied, "My dear, your questions is obviously an elementary one. There is answer also. Undoubtedly the Allmighty reserves all powers. If he wants he can express his message from the sky with a loud voice but he doesn't do so. He used to send his message for the mankind through his selected person. It is his rule that without medium his messages couldn’t come directly. Then how can you expect that your words and prayers will reach to the Almighty without medium. For that reason the Almighty has expressed in his sacred book the importance of taking the guidance of medium. His selected persons are the proper media. In the age of prophets they were the media. They used to advocate to the Almighty for the salvation of mankind. The Almighty also used to accept their advocacy. The present age is the age of prophet's representatives. They are also the selected persons of the Almighty. Now they’re the media through which common people can communicate with the Almighty. They advocate to the Almighty for the salvation of mankind and also for the grant of their prayers. They guide us to run in right path. Though they die yet their souls remain active. So we can easily submit our prayers to the Almighty through them. Though the Almighty knows and can hear everything yet it is his rule that he hears, considers and grants the prayers of common people through the arbitration of his selected persons. There is a materialistic example. In the court of justice none can submit directly his plaint to the judge without pleader. So for the grant of our prayer to the Almighty we've also to take proper media that's the selected and lighted persons of the Almighty. Do you understand my point? The young BEHIND YOUR VISION Lighted man replied "Yes, now it is clear to me ."

After a year I was in my shop as usually. Mr. Anower came and gave a good news that his wife had borne a son baby. I congratulated him remembering the advocacy of the great saint Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chisty (RH) of Ajmir.

Eternal Cup-bearer

As everyday performance Mr. Hasan went out for a morning walk in that day also. It was the time of dawn. He was walking inattentively. Even he didn't trace when he came near the river side. The river Vairab was streaming with murmuring sounds. The boats and launchs started their journies with passengers. Crossing over the river was started in the ferry. Black smokes began to emit from the chimnies of the brick-fields. Leaving apert the inertness and silence of the night the locality was gradually becoming busy.

Mr. Hasan sat on the roots of a banyan tree on the bank of the river. The roots were exposed due to water erosion. The time was in hightide. The tidal water was tumbling on the roots. Mr. Hasan’s vision was caught in the east-sky. He saw the scarlet morning sun was expressing ownself gradually. How beautiful the appearance was! Mr. Hansan became charmed. He thought that the sun was radiating golden rays on the earth unmiserly. It has no partiality. It used to radiate its rays evenly to all. It doesn't classify anything. If we become deprived of its light then it must be due to our faults. It's equal for all. Its rays’re just like nectar which revive everything of the earth. In the bar the cup-bearer’s cup ultimately becomes empty but the sun is such a eternal cup-bearer whose cup of nectar-rays never becomes empty. Just like the sun the Almighty is also may be considered allegorically as a holy, supreme and eternal cup-bearer whose cup of mercy remains everful and is continuously dispersing everywhere in the unvierse and never becomes empty.

Mr. Hasan's vision was reflected on the river water. The river-water was streaming uninterruptedly. The red fruits of the banyan tree which were droping off making sweet musical notes and creating innumerable bubbles which were floating for sometimes and marging back to the river water shortly after. They were again marging there where from their momentary existences were creating. The contemplative mind of Mr. Hasan was absorbed in an induction of incomprehensible thinking world. An unknown one said into his inner ears spiritually "Our lives are also just like those bubbles. We used to remain alive with our identites within the infinite existence of the Almighty for sometime and we again become merged into that infinite existence through our deaths. Mr. Hasan remembered well known quatrains of the famous persian poet Omar Khaium.
Oh, my Eternal Cup-bearer,
The nectar what you're pouring on the earth
Is blooming innumerable bubbles
In the eternal stream.
Millions of lives like thy and me
Are floating on that stream.
Someone comes and someone goes
But your cup remains ever full.
Mr. Hasan stood up to return home. He was walking in the street with a thoughtful mind. The sun rose up considerably in the meantime. Its tempered golden rays were dispersing light to the whole earth.

Body Kingdom

Mr. Debdut is a government employee. Recently he has been transferred from Rajshahi to Rangamati. He is in a service in Education Department. He is the chief of his new office. He is now on the way of understanding the present situation of his new office. Near about a month has been passed. One day his wife Mrs. Radha asked him, "What's the present condition of your new office. Recently it seems  you're some how  anxious. Is there any problem in your office?"
Mr. Debdut: I'm observing an interesting matter in my office.
Mrs. Radha: What's that matter?
Mr Debdut: Maximum employees of our office are local men. To understand them keenly I've taken individual interview. I've found there're two groups in our office of which one is rival to other. In one group there is a member named Mr. Conscience. He always gives me good advices . In this group there're another five members, who're Mr. Brain, Mr. Eye, Mr. Nose, Mr. Mouth and Mr. ear. Mr. Brain keeps all informations in his computer. He is more or less impartial because both the groups take help from him at the  time of their needs. Mr. Eye always observes the over all situation of the office and its surroundings and informs all things to the office chief. Mr. Nose informs the objectives of the incoming letters to the office-chief. Mr. Mouth acts as a receptionist and Mr. Ear maintains the transfer file. On the other hand the another group which is led by a woman named Mrs. Lust. She is always busy to derail me. She   gives me bad advices so that I'd grab Govt. money and I'd do other unfairmeans. Her vision is also very bad. She tries to capture me by her youth and beauty. There are also five members in her group. They are Mr. Anger, Mr. Greed, Mr. infatuation, Mr. Vanity and Mr. Envy. They are the fans of Mrs. Lust and work under her directions. Do you understand the situation of my office?
Mrs. Radha: Yes, transfer that woman to any other place.
Mr Debdut: They're centrally appointed employees and can't be transfered. In this situation I've to be so alert that Mrs. Lust's group couldn't capture me. I'm trying to control them.
After the conversation Mr. Debdut was thinking deeply. His Mrs. asked him, "Hi, what're you thinking so deeply" Mr. Debdut: The mystery of human body kingdom is just like our office.
Mrs. Radha: What's that?
Mr. Debdut: Our inner identities are our souls. Our souls are the parts of the Almighty. The Almighty has sent our souls to our bodies for the spiritual rectification and salvation by directing the bodies in correct paths and  by doing good deeds. There're also two groups in our bodies just like our office. One is the group of conscience and other is the group of passion. The conscience group always gives good advices to the soul but the passion-group always gives evil advices and tries to derail the soul. Soul is the king of the body kingdom. He has freedom what he'll do. So he may agree with any of the two groups. If the soul follows the instruction of conscience the result will be good and he will get heaven. On the contrary if the soul follows the evil suggestions of passions the result will be very bad and he will be punished under hell.
Mrs Radha: You've nicely explained the mystery of body kingdom with the example of your office.
Mr. Debdut: Human body kingdom is a complex field of mystery.
